When I am working on the cross art frames, each piece has something to say to me in some way. Sometimes it is the colors, the frame, the combination. Sometimes I change the frame to the glass plate and see if the combination speaks to my heart in another way.
It is difficult sometime to post them for giving because each one is so wonderful to me, but then I think of how it will become a blessing to another and they will see something in the frame or the colors that I did not see. More so, how GOD will get the Glory and that makes we let go because that is why GOD blesses us, so that we can give Him all the Glory.
Jesus Christ is Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever according to Hebrews 13:8. How we see him through the eyes of our heart, however, makes him special and one of kind to us. “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14
I wish I had a picture of the face of each person that has received one of the art frames as a gift. I think the cross gets illuminated just off the smiles and twinkle in the eyes of the recipient. Jesus did say: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12. In Him there is no darkness. He reflects the Love of GOD through not only His life, His walk, His death and His resurrection, but in how he shares his Love through others who believe in him.
This is a light that can come in to darkest night and glow so brightly, but not blind you with the brilliance it radiates. When I look at each art frame, the frame and colors fade for a moment and there stands the testimony: “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9. GOD says “I Love you”.and Jesus Christ said it on the Cross to us all, if we will accept His Love. That is what each of my cross illuminated art frames says to me and I hope it also says the same to each of those who receive one and even more so to those that give one.
How Great Thou Art
Stuart K. Hine was a Bristish Methodist missionary on a mission trip in Ukraine in 2931 when he heard the Russian translation of a German song inspired by Carl Boberg’s poem “O Store Gud” (O Great God). Hine began to translation the song to English and added several verses. The third verse was inspired by the conversion of villagers in Russia who cried out to God loudly as the repented and realized God’s love and mercy – “And when I think that God, His Son not sparing, sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in.”
Stuart Hine and his family left Ukraine as famine and World War Two began, and settled in Somerset, Britain where he continued to serve as a missionary to Polish refugees. The forth verse of “How Great Thou Art” was inspired by displaced Russians who experienced great loss and looked forward to seeing their loved ones again in heaven – “When Christ shall come with shoult of acclamation to take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.”
The final English version of “How Great Thou Art” was published in 1949 and quickly spread among Britian, Africa, India and America.
Christ Jesus died for us all, and in that we can come to know him, embrace his Love and receive that day : “When Christ shall come with shoult of acclamation to take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.” How Great Thou Art !
