Often when the blessed study the word of GOD we locate the scripture by the chapter and verse. However this is an artificial separation that was designed to help us, but not something that the scribes and writers of GOD’s word entered into the original writings.

Often because of the artificial separation we miss as readers of GOD’s word the completed context of thought and communication of the writer and in doing so we fragment the message it holds and in more and more cases nowadays we lose the whole depth and necessary meaning that needs to be conveyed. This is further taken apart by the number of translation versions there are of the Holy Bible.

We see this habit we have in the people of this earth when it comes to the crossing of the New Year. Somehow, though a review of the Calendar, a new year is the end of one year and the beginning of another year. Really, it is just a chapter and a verse and unless the entire context of what was before comes along, the days which are still ahead for each of us can get lost in our thinking last year must be separate.

If we were greatly adept of our own selves to cut our past from us and not keep adding to it with all that is bogging us down, then it might have more meaning of being a new year and we would excel in creating a separation.

The Light has little meaning without the darkness, and the darkness needs the light to know that it can exist, at least on earth. The “unhealthy” and “negative” things from the prior year need to be dealt with and so in our own way we make New Year Resolutions where we are going to change something. We are going to make our plan and after the drop of the ball which rings in the New Year in the USA, we hit the Gym, we reduce our food intake, we take more time to spend with GOD and his word, we visit others, we look about our lives at that moment and we do our best, maybe volunteer or take in some peaceful time to shore up the loose connections with our family and friends.

Some, few, make that change in the new year, but for the most part, most end up adding to the past more links of our chains that we forge year after year. Things don’t change when we cross from 2019 to 2020 on the Calendar because we are a work that is part of a greater work. We need to keep in mind the context of 2019 and all the past years so that when we try and make changes, we take what we learned and use full context, so the changes and the Hope of a future is more likely by application with knowledge in a depth that keeps us on plan for our change using our previous Chapters and Verses.

As we strive to cross over from year to year, we need to bear in our minds these words, “each touches another”. Every decision that we make each moment that we are given in any morsel of a day, has a high possibility to touch another. For a season of life in our now time there has been up to 5 living generations on the earth from the same blood line. This is incredible when you think about it, if Generations are in groups of 20 year spans from birth to death, we have children born today that have senior family members, direct bloodline, at 100 years plus of age, thus 5 generations. Most people that walk the earth have such a generational line they can now research the ancestry in the family. So if you dwell on it the statement in Philippians 1:6 as each person in the bloodline is in some way have passed something of a work in what they did along their own generation that will continue through the generations to come and one day when Christ returns those generations will end, but the statement will be fulfilled. That is awesome when we can see the word of GOD in action and in truth even thousands of years after is was stated.

Crossing over also comes when a unbeliever comes to know and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Loosely speaking there are at least 30% of the word population that are believers to some level in Christ Jesus, or as it might be more termed today Christianity. Only GOD can tell if one is truly a believer, but that is not for this message post. Maybe in one posted near Easter 2020.

Crossing over is also a very common set of words in the Old Testament, especially in Numbers, Deuteronomy and in Joshua.

Here the Crossing over is also a change, a new land, a new start, but what can’t be forgotten is the Chapters and verses of the past, the context is important to know the entire situation and the reason things has to be as they were. These that crossed were a generation after those that spent 40 years and died out as a generation for a trip that should have taken only 4 months.

Moses waited 120 years before he was allowed to see from a distance the promised land, but he never was permitted to enter. “We are confident that he who started a good work in you will continue it until the day of Christ. Philippians 1:6.” Think of all who were before Moses, back to Abraham, who was promised that he would be the start of generations that would be more numberous than the stars of the heavens and the grains of sands on the sea shores. Christ Jesus was on the earth in the flesh over 2000 years ago, and when he comes again, what was promised to Abraham will be fulfilled, as from him and one to this day and on to the days that still remain, the work that was started in him is still continuing.

The thing that is most fascinating is as we grow and to live out our earthly journey we are to store up our treasure in heaven. Think and meditate on just what the house of the Father, that has many mansions, will look like since Jesus Christ has been preparing it for a long time. I think of the verse in both the old and new testament that states,

However, as it is written:

There are many familiars about the ceremony that occurs at end of your life, the times in which family, friends, others that were a part of your life and you, theirs in some way, come and pay respects to a soul that has gone on from this life to what lay ahead.

If you attend a USA military funeral there will be several constants; tears, folding of the American Flag and presentation to a family member and the playing of “Taps”. In some situations they will be a 21 shot salute, (7 guns, 3 shots each) and for some there is even a fly over by military aircraft to honor them a fallen veteran who served their country and their flag.

If you go to a non-military funeral, memorial service or at graveside of a passing soul, you may also hear several common familiars as well like Bible verses during that service. One that has been spoken many times, even in movies is the 23 Psalm and if there is singing, Amazing Grace at least will be heard.

The passing of family has come for me recently and so I think of this Psalm spoken partly for those who attend the services to ease the sorrow by a reassurance they will not be alone and for us that remain, for now, to give us peace that we also are not alone in our lives.

If there is a day to remember in the USA it is the 4th of July, Independence day. In this year of 2019, the 4th of July had an additional unwelcome celebration, one of a 6.4 Earthquake in the desert of Southern California very much near and in a town called Ridgecrest, Ca. It was the following day that would be more remembered when a 7.1 Earthquake followed the 6.4 and that increase from 6.4 to 7.1 seemed 10 times more severe as the magnitude is not a linear increase, it is exponential and is not something that many people realize as we are very much accustom to linear thinking.

As one who spent most of their adult life in Southern California, it is something to report the feeling when your 100 miles away from the epicenter. However, it is quite another when you are 10 miles from the epicenter! Oh my, oh my! Glory to GOD for putting his hand on us all while we shook those days, things coming off the shelves, the walls and waking us from our sleep on July 4th.

Then starts all the activity, all the concern and the exponential  worry, the touting of bible prophecy messages, doom and gloom warning, yet Jesus Christ told us to take care when these things happen and really what to watch for when the day of his return is to happen. I saw many accounts of someone trying to compare the opening of the 7th seal as this earthquake being phopacy fulfilled, Really, are you serious?  Oh, I get all choked up when I see these who spread such deception of the GOD’s word. My choking up comes from the statement made in Revelations 22:18-20 that may touch them for not spreading what GOD word clearly tells us about events that will be important and true;

“I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!… “;    so I pray for them to stop and get into the word of GOD first and then speak the truth of GOD’s word.

There are two methods to reading GOD’s word, first read through GOD’s word, use your eyes,, your ears, do it yourself. Then when you are done, Read the word of GOD through YOU ! ,based on your life experiences throughout your daily life, read the word of GOD through your life. You will see that as you experience life from infant to senior, senior (people are living to be 100 now more and more) you will see how things change in the eyes of your heart as you read, dwell and meditate on GOD’s word. Even verses that you have recited time and time again, they change in your understanding of them as your experiences change. In the end, on your day of Judgement, YOU will stand ALONE before the righteous and fair judge, our HOLY FATHER. You need to read and know GOD’s word for yourself so you can avoid being distracted and fed incorrect information from GOD’s word by well meaning people that spread fear. GOD does not spread fear. The Fear of GOD is respect and honor, not horror and despair. In Faith you will find this to be true that even in a earthquake, you are shaken, but your faith is never stirred! Satan will use these moments to cause a situation of separation of you and your faith in GOD, in His word and in your relationship with GOD. So it is imperative you not be distracted by even the most well meaning of believer’s. Many times in the New Testament we are warned of Wolves in Sheep clothing.

I challenge every believer to read for themselves the books of Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, and also Matthew 24 & 25. (You need to understand all of these books to understand how the prophesies are connected.) Really, read and keep in your believing heart, mind and soul the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 7: 21-23. Truly look into yourself and ask yourself, is there any way YOU can see that Jesus would respond to you saying LORD, LORD and having His response be as it is in those verses?” Depart from me I never knew you.” Oh, truly, don’t allow yourself to be shaken by not knowing that you know, that you know, about yourself and your relationship with Jesus Christ and that Salvation is yours.

The earthquake is a reminder that the day of the LORD’s return will come. You need to be ready! You need to be ready in this moment and all the moments that follow. If shaking the earth is what is it going to take to get your heart adjusted to see you have a Savior, and regardless of circumstances of fire, earthquakes, storms, and others events on this earth you don’t need to live in fear, then know that GOD Loves YOU so much, HE WILL shake the earth as He sees fit to save each and every person. Read 2 Peter 3, all of it.

When you read the book of Revelation 6, pay attention to what is to happen at the various seal openings. Look at them precisely in your experience and understanding and then ask the Holy Spirit, if you truly are a believer in Jesus Christ, to open the eyes of your heart in your own life and your own relationship in Christ Jesus to help you see the truth and not be distracted by the fear of others who must not believe, as they would not be spreading such untruth that GOD’s word directly is not supporting. Set your calendar, reminder, whatever you use to open Proverbs 3, reading it every 3rd day of every month for the rest of your life. Pay attention to what understanding you are to use, it is NOT YOURS.

Will I be shaken again by earthquakes living so close to the Epicenter? Oh yes, in fact as I was writing this Blog entry, a 3.5 earthquake shook the desk top and the chair I am seated in. It did not stop me from reacting to it as a human being and it did not stop me from writing this message either, for GOD is still on the Throne and still in Charge, NOT US.

Nothing, should stop any believer from making sure the GOSPEL message is shared wherever a situation or circumstance arises to do so. So don’t be shaken. Instead shake the heart and soul of yourself. Make sure that you firmly believe and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. No one can tell you this, only GOD knows, Only Jesus Christ knows if your name is entered into the Lamb’s book of Life. If so then you have the Holy Spirit in you who is helping you, comforting you in this earthly life, shaken, but never stirred to stop from believing. You can ask that Holy Spirit to help you in everything, be your advocate in your daily life and find the peace of GOD in any situation. Jesus was clear in John 16:33. Read His words and realize, volcanoes, earthquakes and other challenges will be a part of your earthly life. But read what He also stated about these things; “but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”.

In the USA it is springtime leading to summer. There was an old saying that April Showers bring May Flowers and then it might go on to add Mayflowers bring Pilgrims and so the history tells depending on who you ask today.

This year, the weather in the Springtime in the USA has been wet and wild. Currently, in the mid states, there is flooding and tornados plenty. Because of rainfall, overflowing streams into rivers and backed up dams, banks of the river disappearing and covering up what was there with muddy water flowing to the end which will most likely be the sea where it will evaporate into clouds and return as rain to repeat the cycle once again.

We call this weather and it is really GOD’s way of cleaning and providing what is needed upon the earth. It is GOD’s earthly spring cleaning, Yes GOD cleans as well.

Some decades ago one of the health and beauty product makers, was trying to increase the sales of their new products. It was a simple change that leads to a significant improvement in sales of the product, 4 words were basically added to the user instructions, “Lather, Rinse and Repeat” which doubled the sales of the product overnight.

Sadly, there are many believers that are convinced the blood of Jesus Christ has some hidden instructions for use and it includes Rinse and Repeat. Jesus Christ’s bloodshed to wash away our sins was a “once for all” act of obedient Love from GOD through Christ Jesus for us on the Cross. This one action leads to death and resurrection to give victory over both the sins of all and removal of the spiritual second death for those that will come to Salvation and believe.

There is no rinse and repeat or any need for a prayer request to GOD the sins are not getting taken care of, you must have miscalculated our amount of sin we would be involved in and we need you to put Jesus back on the Cross for a do-over, or a rinse and repeat of his death and resurrection of our sin. There have been messages given by noted teachers in the word of GOD that somehow we have sinned such we have decreased the effectiveness of Christ Blood with our massive sins of today. Has anyone ever read the book of Eccelistices? There is nothing new under the sun.

When Christ Jesus took all our sins, it was all the sins from the first one in the Garden of Eden to the Last one which only GOD’s knows will be committed. We are NOT the inventors of new sins and GOD is timeless so he knows the beginning to the end, all in one moment. He knows every sin each one of us has and will commit. He knows the sins we can identify and confess to and he knows the ones we can’t or don’t recognize as sin. The ones we think, the ones that come from NOT keeping a command, not giving or helping when we see it can be done by what we have at the moment. Not walking in Faith or obedience. The sins that are hidden from everyone else, that happen in the dark corner of ourselves.

When we don’t wear the full Armor of GOD and the fiery darts impel us because that Armor just does not compliment our outfit today so by leaving it hanging in the closet, we’re opening ourselves up to temptation that leads us to possibly fall into sin and then fall short of the Glory of GOD. The Father of Lies, the accuser of the Brethren, the Roaring Lion that goes to and fro finding who he might devour gets the scent of a meal where the temptation to sin is present because the evil one is always hungry for that which will separate us from GOD. The evil one desires that we believe in fear, we have sin such that Jesus Christ blood can’t cover it so that we get the idea that Jesus Christ blood is not good enough, not always effective or needed. Even Satan knows It was marked PAID, after all, so since it is paid, we’re good !! So just sin away !! OH, we got this, it is nothing really, we can overcome it tomorrow after Bible study with a short prayer, like the one we say before the meal time only when Grandpa is around.

The payment for our sins is covered. This is true. If you’re a true believer in Jesus Christ, there is no dispute. However, what happens when we sin is not covered by that payment. While we have forgiveness by confessing and asking forgiveness, and we have a promise to be cleansed, it still leaves the marks and scars of what happened when we sinned.

These scars and marks are overlapped on others as well and can and certainly do have very long lasting and deep issues in not only the sinner’s life but in those that were affected by the sin. A case in point is King David. Because of his sin of the flesh and the blood on his hands for Uriah the husband of Bathsheba, King David never was allowed to build the temple for GOD, something he most desired to accomplish to show his Love for GOD. In Psalm 51, he cries out for the Forgiveness for his sinful transgressions and was granted to him out of GOD’s Mercy and Grace shown by GOD for true repentance. King David was not able to know his child born from the action of sin and his life would always suffer from the act of the Sword which was the death brought upon Uriah. While his second child Solomon did build the Temple and was given wealth and wisdom unmatched, even Solomon was given to the sin’s of the flesh and despite being warned by GOD not to take wives of foreign places because they would bring idols of other god’s and cause a separation from GOD by the people, Solomon did not head the scars and marks of his father and his Kingdom was removed from him.

While it is true Jesus came through King David’s ancestry line, King David was never permitted to do much of anything else as a man who was after GOD’s own heart. Yes, he did not live under the blood covenant of Christ Jesus so maybe it may not seem the same, but the 10 commandments did not go away when Christ Jesus died on the cross of our sins. In fact, Jesus pointed out on one, that adultery was committed by just lusting after another in one’s heart.

For those under the blood covenant that Jesus Christ bought with that payment on the cross, we do have the gift of Mercy and Grace which is how we receive Salvation. We do have the permission to enter the Throne room of GRACE and boldly ask to obtain Mercy for our sins which have left scars and marks. Because Jesus Christ blood will cleanse us, we are hidden in Christ Jesus, so when GOD looks at us as true believers written in the Lamb’s book of Life, he does not see the scars and the marks, he sees Jesus Christ, the one with no sin, who died and paid for all sin once for all.

Jesus gave many examples of how the gift of his blood would change things and one is well known but a key point is often missed in it’s teaching. When Jesus was brought the woman caught in the act of Adultery, Jesus knew if she did or did not do such as accused. But remember Jesus was not here at that time to judge or condemn. (John 3:17). When she had no accusers who could cast the first stone, then Jesus also stated he would not accuse her. Instead, He told her to go and sin no more. This is what the payment of sin by Jesus Christ blood gives us. In the day that the woman was caught in the act, the Law stated she was to be stoned as was her partner in the action. However, Jesus showed what would happen when He paid for our sins, it gave us a chance to GO and SIN NO MORE. The hope being we would fully repent and live life turning and fleeing from the sinful actions and not live in those sins any longer. Sin separates us from GOD and the Law of Moses would judge us and give no second chance. The Blood of Jesus Christ gives us the Mercy, the second chance to come away from the error of sin and not be judged and condemned by the law at that moment by GOD. We will be judged one day, but with the Blood of Jesus Christ, it will show paid for what we have done by not having a list of transgressions setting in the book of remembrance that can be recited because as believers and followers in Jesus Christ, it is marked PAID, blotted out by the Stamp of the ink of Christ Jesus blood. We will be clean in heart.

This is where things get out of hand by the current way the message of the Gospel might go awry in the hearts and minds of believers. Jesus Christ did not pay for our sins so we are free to frolic about sinning as we wish, thinking that it is all good. NO, that is not the case. Yes, true heart repentance with Salvation in Christ Jesus does wash away your sin, with the bloodshed of Jesus Christ on the cross, but the scars and marks that are left from those sins are not washed away. (Jesus has the marks and scars of our sins on him.) To GOD, looking at you through the cleansing blood of Salvation in Jesus Christ, he will see no scars or marks, but you can’t keep scaring and marking your life and also the lives of others. That could be taken as Mocking GOD and it is written, GOD will not be Mocked. what you sow you will reap. The effects of those sins scars and marks add up when you keep going back to the same sin over and over. There is a risk of being judged on Earth and not in heaven and this can be a case of no forgiveness. (Anania and Safira in Acts)

Read the story of King Manasseh. When he started as King he was not a king like his Father King Hezekiah. He was not a follower of GOD’s commands and instructions. When his position of King was removed by God, he very much came to GOD and repented for what he had done. GOD restored him to King eventually and true to his repentance he undid the evil things that he had done in the kingdom. But the corruption and damage done to others by his sinful actions remained for many generations and these could not be corrected or improved by this King’s repentance and changing of his ways, though he did get GOD’ s mercy and forgiveness. The marks and scars of his sins remained leading others astray who were not walking with GOD. You can see the same thing in King David’s household as well.

This is the same with Jesus Christ bloodshed, it will mark your sin paid, but the scars and marks left by your sin will not be removed or covered. Yes, Mercy can step in and create a condition such that what you deserve for your sin’s effect won’t occur or be delayed, as it is not GOD’s plan for your life. We are all created by GOD for a purpose. If GOD knows without this mercy you will not be able to fulfill your purpose, Mercy may be issued. Therefore by Mercy, it is handled not covered because the scars and marks still remain, but that is GOD’s decision and you can ask, but only GOD can grant it to you. Therefore because we struggle to not sin in a fallen and broken world, it is all the more important that we spread the Gospel message of the Cross so that the scars and marks left on others from our sins will not become a penalty to them. Let them be covered before GOD as clean and as a child of GOD through the payment of Jesus Christ death on the Cross and Illuminated by his resurrection. Let others have the same Salvation that was paid for once for all. Don’t allow their Marks and Scars feaster and lead them to the second death and away from being able to walk in the cool of the day.
